Photography & Recording Notice
Effective date: 2026-02-23
Zyphoria Gatherings events may be photographed, audio recorded, and/or video recorded. By entering an event area, you may be captured in still images or recordings used to document the event and share highlights.
How we may use images and recordings
- Event recaps and promotional materials (website, email, social media)
- Internal documentation and archival purposes
- Press or partner sharing relating to the event (when applicable)
Consent and legal basis (United States)
Depending on the context, we may rely on one or more of the following:
- Notice and participation: event signage, this notice, and your attendance in areas where recording occurs.
- Consent: where we request it (for example, posed photos, interviews, or where required by law).
- Legitimate interests: documenting the event and communicating about it in a reasonable way, especially for crowd or ambient footage.
Some states recognize additional rights (e.g., right of publicity). We aim to respect reasonable requests and will evaluate them on a case-by-case basis.
How to opt out during the event
If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded:
- Tell event staff at check-in or any time during the event.
- If offered, request an opt-out indicator (e.g., wristband/badge) and keep it visible.
- Avoid camera-facing areas such as step-and-repeat backdrops or interview spaces.
We will make reasonable efforts to honor opt-out requests, but we may not be able to prevent incidental capture in crowd scenes or background footage.
Requesting removal
You may request removal of an identifiable image or clip that we control. Email us at contact@domain.com with:
- Event name, date, and location
- A link or screenshot (and any time-stamp) identifying the content
- Your relationship to the person depicted (if requesting on someone else’s behalf)
We may ask for reasonable verification and will respond as soon as practicable. If content was posted by third parties (e.g., attendees or media), we can provide guidance but cannot guarantee removal from accounts we do not control.
Minors
If a minor is identifiable in a posed photo or interview, we may request permission from a parent or legal guardian when practical. Parents/guardians can request opt-out or removal using the process above.
