Snapshot Format (Venue Entry Fields)

Every venue entry uses the same field set so you can compare locations quickly. When a detail can’t be confirmed, we label it Unknown rather than guessing.

Accessibility snapshot

Seated / standing / mixed; whether sightlines depend on early arrival.

  • Accessible seating / companion seating

Accessibility snapshot labels

Sources, labels, and what they mean

Each snapshot field (parking, seating, restrooms, entrances, hearing assistance, and more) is tagged with a label so you can quickly tell whether details are confirmed by the venue, simply not mentioned anywhere we checked, or genuinely unclear. See the field list on Snapshot Format.

Published

The venue (or official event organizer) explicitly states the detail in a public source. We capture the wording and date checked.

Not listed

We checked our standard sources and did not find any mention of that specific feature. It is not the same as “not available.”

Unknown

Information is missing, inconsistent, outdated, or varies by event configuration. We may list what we found and why it can’t be confirmed.

What we check (typical sources)

  • Venue accessibility page, FAQs, seating charts, and “Plan your visit” pages
  • Official event listing (venue/organizer) and ticketing listing text for the specific show
  • Municipal/arts directory listings when the venue is publicly operated
  • On-site signage references and attendee notes only when clearly attributed and time-stamped

When a source is not official, we prefer “Not listed” or “Unknown” over assuming availability.

Why the labels matter

Label How to use it
Published Best for planning. Still verify day-of if you rely on a specific accommodation (e.g., elevator access).
Not listed Prompt to contact the venue. Missing info is common even when a feature exists.
Unknown Treat as uncertain; plan for alternatives and confirm directly with the venue/box office.

For how we handle uncertainty and updates, read the Accuracy Disclaimer.

Quick guidance

If you see “Not listed”: it usually means the venue didn’t publish the detail in a place most people can find quickly. We recommend calling or emailing the venue before purchase.

If you see “Unknown”: assume the situation may vary (temporary closures, staffing, or event layout). Build extra time into arrival and confirm accessible routes.

Accuracy disclaimer (please confirm with the venue)

Accessibility details can change quickly due to staffing, construction, seating reconfigurations, promoter policies, or temporary equipment outages. We publish a best-effort snapshot, but it is not a guarantee.

  • Before you buy tickets: verify ADA/accessible seating inventory, companion seating rules, and any platform lift/elevator status directly with the venue box office.
  • Before you arrive: confirm step-free entry, parking/drop-off procedures, bag policies for medical equipment, and which door opens first.
  • Plan a fallback: ask for an alternate route or meeting point if the primary entrance or elevator is unavailable.
